Jim honed his business and customer service skills over twenty-three years in Philadelphia’s catering industry. After selling his company to Brûlée Catering in 2010, he sought out his next career move. In 2013, Jim bought his first two residential flip projects in Philadelphia. Both projects exceeded expectations and sold quickly at the top of the market. The success of those projects, and another one outside of the city, led to the formation of Wheelhouse Investments. Owned and operated by Jim and his wife Robin, Wheelhouse has expanded on its model of renovating and restoring older homes to meet the needs of today’s buyers.
In addition, Jim utilizes his skillset to help clients find prime real estate investment opportunities. His understanding of a business’ needs and the local real estate market make him an ideal partner for growing companies. Whether it’s new construction, residential flips, multi-unit holds, retail space, or office and warehouse space that’s needed, he will work with you to fully understand your needs and options en route to a successful acquisition.
Old City is where it all started. From Independence Mall and to Front street you can see and feel the development of the city over the last 240 years.
Coming from catering to real estate allowed me the opportunity to continue to help clients with some of the biggest moments in their lives. I was intrigued by the idea of contributing to the growth of Philadelphia and helping what was old become new again.
There isn’t one moment, and all them revolve around the same basic goals I have set for myself and my clients; to enjoy the experience and to create value and success in the real estate marketplace. Whether the focus is on building a new home, working with an investor or helping first time home buyers find just the right home, my goals are always the same.
Outside of work my focus is on family, travel, food; and combining all of these in a single moment is my true passion. It’s great to be part of a city that is considered one of the top food destinations in the US. I enjoy walking around Philly and visiting the many restaurants, new and old, run by the great chefs in this city. We love to stay home and cook for friends and family as well.
